Upon winning the Malaysian Wind Prize (Ensemble Edition) 2019, The Band Lab Saxophone Quartet will be putting up a Winner's Recital on 17 August 2019 at SMA CHIC.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who attended the recital and made it a success! We cannot express our gratitude enough for the support that we received, making it our first-ever sold-out event!

A special shoutout to Michellina Chan for being an amazing mentor, teacher and friend throughout this past week. Thank you for sticking with us through cut lips, sticky pads, dodgy sampan rides, crocodile hunts and of course, sitting through more than 10 hours worth of daily grind. We’re beyond honoured to have you for our recital and we look forward to future collaborations and meeting with you soon!

This recital would also not have been a success without the assistance and guidance of Mr Anthony Wong and St. Joseph’s Secondary School Band Kuching Saxophone Quintet 2019. Thank you for the fantastic arrangements, for pulling through the ups and downs over the past few weeks and finally making it possible for Kuching to have it’s first saxophone ensemble come to fruition at our recital.
