The Band Lab Kuching had the privilege to collaborate with Scatz Winds from Sekolah Menengah Sains Kuching in a formal band exchange programme themed “Unity in Winds: Scatz X TBL.” The event was held on 12th October 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., at Dewan Sri Gemilang, Sekolah Menengah Sains Kuching, serving as a platform to promote musical excellence, teamwork, and friendship through shared learning experiences.

The programme commenced with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between The Band Lab Kuching and Scatz Winds, marking the beginning of a meaningful partnership dedicated to advancing music education and fostering future collaborations among young musicians. This agreement reflected both parties’ shared commitment to nurturing musical talent, inspiring creativity, and strengthening cross-institutional cooperation within Sarawak’s music community.

Following the signing ceremony, The Band Lab Kuching conducted a series of sectional workshops centred on Tarian Overture by Yeo Chow Shern. Members of Scatz Winds participated actively, gaining valuable technical and interpretive insights from experienced musicians. The session continued with a tutti rehearsal, where both ensembles united to refine their performance and achieve musical cohesion.

The exchange concluded with individual and joint performances that highlighted the dedication, harmony, and collaborative spirit of both groups. The Band Lab Kuching extends its sincere appreciation to Scatz Winds and SM Sains Kuching for their warm hospitality and steadfast commitment to musical development and excellence.
