The Band Lab is proud to announce its official participation as part of the SIFMA Orchestra in the 6th Sarawak International Festival of Music and Arts (SIFMA 6.0), which took place on December 6 and 7, 2025, at the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Complex.

As an advocacy platform for band and orchestra, we are proud to be involved in this prestigious festival, marking a significant milestone in our mission to elevate Sarawak's musical landscape to the international stage.

Under the theme "Sarawak to the World, World to Sarawak," SIFMA 6.0 gathered 18 world-class performing groups and soloists from Vietnam, Taiwan, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand. Representing the vibrant local youth music scene, The Band Lab contributed to the festival's "global mosaic," showcasing the technical excellence and creative energy that our community wind band program has become known for.

Our participation was defined by meaningful cultural exchange, as our members engaged in cross-border collaborations and shared the stage with renowned international acts, including the Taiwan Bamboo Orchestra and Vietnam's Suc Song Moi Traditional Orchestra.

In line with SIFMA 6.0's new "Fashion Elegance" and visual arts segments, The Band Lab embraced the festival's shift toward a full-spectrum arts experience, reinforcing our belief that music is a multisensory journey.

This involvement served as a bridge between youth education and professional performance, providing our musicians with the invaluable experience of performing in a high-stakes, international festival environment.
