The Band Lab Mixed Ensemble took part in the Malaysia International Virtual Band Championships in August 2021 with a cover of SAKURA Song by Yosuke Fukuda ( さくらのうた / 福田洋介) arranged for Flexible Ensemble/Band 5 Parts & Optional Percussion.

This performance won the Gold Award and Overall 1st Runner Up in the Mixed Ensemble Category (Open Division) at the event.
