Otakyun! 2025
Pop-Up Performance and Concert Announcement

Event Overview

Bringing the power of orchestral music to the heart of the local ACG community, The Band Lab was thrilled to perform as an invited act at Otakyun! 2025, organized by Geki Events Management.

Our ensemble took the stage to deliver a curated selection of iconic soundtracks, starting with the powerful "Gurenge" medley from Demon Slayer, which set a vibrant tone for the afternoon.

The setlist took us on a journey through the emotional landscapes of anime, featuring the viral hit "Idol" by YOASOBI, the hauntingly beautiful "Ashitaka and San" from Princess Mononoke, and the nostalgic Naruto opening "Blue Bird." To close the set, we leaned into the classic "shonen" energy that fans love, performing the adventurous spirit of "One Piece."

In addition, this performance marked the official announcement of our most ambitious project to date, The ACG Concert. In a move to give back to the community that has supported us from the beginning, The Band Lab opened an exclusive, one-day pre-sale specifically for the Otakyun! audience. This gave fans in attendance the first chance to secure their seats for our 60-piece orchestra showcase at Stadium Perpaduan, featuring viral Japanese guest artist Avantgardey. The overwhelming enthusiasm and immediate ticket take-up during this pre-sale underscored the deep connection between our musical mission and the local ACG fandom.

This performance at Otakyun! 2025 not only showcased our versatility but also allowed us to connect directly with the fans and community that inspire our largest projects, reinforcing our commitment to making orchestral music accessible, modern, and deeply fun.
