Event Overview
At The Band Lab, we are incredibly proud to share a major milestone: our nomination as a finalist at the prestigious Junior Chamber International (JCI) Malaysia Sustainable Development Award 2025. The Grand Award Ceremony, held on 21 September at the Imperial Hotel Kuching, was an unforgettable evening that celebrated purpose-driven action and community impact.
Being named a finalist was a significant achievement for us. From a large pool of 70+ participants, only 30 were selected, and we were one of 16 companies and organisations from Sarawak to make the cut. This recognition represents the culmination of months of dedication and hard work from our team, creating a tangible impact within our community. As Deputy Minister Datuk Dr Hazland Abang Hipni aptly noted, being shortlisted is no small feat—it is a testament to the dedication, innovation, and purpose behind our work.
While we didn’t win the top award, our nomination is a victory in itself. It’s a powerful validation of our efforts to promote music education and community engagement in Sarawak. The JCI award’s theme, "Local Action, Global Impact,” deeply resonates with our mission, and it was truly inspiring to stand alongside other remarkable finalists from both Sarawak and across Malaysia.
We are so grateful for this recognition and for the opportunity to be part of an event that celebrates the collective effort to build a more sustainable future. This experience has only strengthened our resolve to continue pushing boundaries and inspiring positive change through music. We are more motivated than ever to continue our work, contributing to a greener, more inclusive, and resilient Malaysia.
