Event Overview
The Band Lab was invited to perform at the official luncheon for the 8th International Digital Economy Conference Sarawak (IDECS) 2025, held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK). The event, attended by the Guest of Honour, the Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, and a diverse delegation of international and local digital leaders, served as a premier networking platform within Sarawak’s flagship technology summit.
To accommodate the professional, multicultural setting, The Band Lab presented an intimate acoustic trio featuring a violinist and a guitarist, with vocals by Dell Lawrence. The ensemble performed a curated selection of light acoustic music designed to resonate with both regional and global attendees.
The repertoire celebrated local heritage with soulful renditions of Malaysian favourites, including “Kasih Sayang” and the P. Ramlee classic “Getaran Jiwa.” To welcome the international audience, the group performed iconic Asian hits including the Japanese standard “Ue O Muite Aruko” (Sukiyaki), the nostalgic Korean ballad “My Memory” from Winter Sonata, and the popular Mandarin track “Xiang Ni De Ye”, and more.
