In the week following our anime orchestra performance at The Spring Mall, Kuching’s Hallyu Hanami event, we are back again with an evening of Korean OSTs and K-pop.

The performance featured a chamber ensemble, which comprises a string quartet alongside a rhythm section of drums, bass, guitar, and keyboard. Further adding to the soundscape were powerful voices from Dell Lawrence and Shann Liaw.

The setlist for the evening included some of the most beloved hits from K-drama and K-pop, genres that have become a global cultural phenomenon.

The performance included the classic ballad "Bogoshipda" by Kim Bum Soo and the popular duet "All For You" by Eunji and Seo In Guk, both iconic K-drama original soundtracks.

The crowd was also treated to a powerful performance of "Love Wins All" by IU and an instrumental version of her hit "Strawberry Moon."

A high-energy moment was the performance of Jungkook's chart-topping song, "Golden," which brought the energy of modern K-pop to the stage.  

This performance was a cornerstone of the event's Hallyu theme, which celebrates Korea's remarkable rise as a global trendsetter in music, film, and fashion. The performances of K-drama and K-pop songs provided a perfect, immersive experience for fans and newcomers alike, demonstrating the strategic and creative power behind the Korean Wave.
