The Spring Mall in Kuching became the stage for a spectacular cultural fusion as The Band Lab, with 60 orchestra musicians, delivered a breathtaking performance to hundreds of attendees during the Hallyu Hanami event.

The performance, which captivated hundreds of shoppers, featured a solo vocalist, Dell Lawrence, who is also the President of The Voice Lab.

During the 30-minute segment, we performed:

• Totoro no inari from My Neighbour Totoro
• Gurenge Medley
• Sparkle from Kimi No Nawa

The Hallyu Hanami Festival is a unique event that brings together the dynamic, technology-driven Korean Wave (Hallyu) and the serene, traditional Japanese custom of cherry blossom viewing (Hanami). Hallyu is the global cultural powerhouse known for its influence in K-pop, K-drama, and fashion, while Hanami is a centuries-old tradition that celebrates the fleeting beauty of life through the appreciation of cherry blossoms, or sakura.
