This holiday season, The Band Lab welcomed the community with a spellbinding musical experience titled "Christmas: For Good". Hosted at The Spring Mall Kuching, this unique production blends the beloved story of Wicked with the warmth of the Christmas season, exploring themes of identity, courage, and the "bittersweet gift of friendship".

The performance follows a heartwarming dialogue between a Grandma and her Grandchild as they recount the legendary tale of Elphaba and Glinda. Through this narrative, the show redefines the holiday spirit not just as a time for wishes but as a journey to discover who we truly are.

Led by a live orchestra (The Band Lab), vocal ensemble, (The Voice Lab) and conductor, the show features a lineup of powerhouse vocalists and performers:

• Chien Ng as Elphaba, performing iconic hits like "The Wizard and I".
• Christine Chai as Glinda, bringing the house down with "Popular".
• Taylor Louise, opening the show with a soulful rendition of "Somewhere over the Rainbow".
• Collaborative performances of fan favourites, including "Defying Gravity" and the title-inspired "For Good".
• Featured appearances by talented Dancers from Miya Dance Studio.

In partnership with Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) Malaysia, Miya Dance Studio, Sarawak Sports and Arts, and Century Music School, the event features a special interactive segment. Audiences are encouraged to participate in the "Snap & Share Your Moment of Goodness" social media campaign.

Attendees who capture a photo with the orchestra or performers and share an act of kindness or gratitude on social media (tagging GSC and The Band Lab) stand a chance to win one of 20 complimentary GSC movie tickets.
