Born and raised in Kuching, Malaysia, Terrance began his career as a percussionist when he joining the award-winning Saint Joseph’s School Band Kuching in 2015 at the age of 13. Under the tutelage of Mr. Jonathan Fox, Terrance has explored a wide spectrum of the percussion world in his 5 years in the band, being taught in the disciplines of both concert and marching percussion.

During his time in SJS Band, Terrance has performed frequently with the band on the local and international stage, winning numerous awards as a member of the band along the way. These include winning first place at the USBands Yamaha Cup 2015 in East Rutherford, New Jersey, performing in a collaborative concert with the Percussion Faculty of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, Singapore, and most recently, winning first runner-up in Class VIII of the Rastede International Days of Music Festival in Rastede, Germany.

Terrance joined the inaugural award-winning Community Youth Band Education Program, The Band Lab as Percussion Instructor in 2018 and has since helped introduce many youths to the world of percussion. Since then, he has served as the Junior Band Percussion Tutor during the 2019 Kuching Youth Band Fiesta. In addition to teaching, he also regularly performs as a member of The Band Lab in their efforts to provide band performances for entertainment, education and public service purposes.
