Gena Ng
Beginning her musical journey with the clarinet at the age of nine, Gena has been actively performing in various ensembles such as Orchestra Collective, OBOG Wind Symphony, The Clarinet Club and West Winds, where she has gained valuable experiences in both music and life. As a musician, she strives to share her knowledge with fellow musicians and students, encouraging them to pursue and explore the joy of music.
Gena is privileged to have participated in conducting masterclasses by Dr. Robert Ambrose (U.S.), Prof. Paula Crider (U.S.), Boon Hua Lien (Singapore). She was under the tutelage of Tang Xiao Ping (Singapore Symphony Orchestra) and Valentin Uryupin (Moscow, Russia) for clarinet. She has learned many valuable concepts from composers and conductors like Yasuhide Ito (Japan), James Swearingen (U.S.) & Eiji Suzuki (Japan). Gena believes in lifelong learning and hopes to inspire the community with music.
