Ang Yi Xiang
Ang Yi Xiang is a professional Saxophonist and also the Woodwind Group Leader in the Singapore Armed Forces Central Band (SAF Central Band). In 2011, he was awarded the Licentiate of the Trinity College London in Saxophone Performance.
His love for music and proficiency on the Saxophone has brought him to several places around the world. Yi Xiang was part of the Southeast Asian Youth Wind Ensemble (SAYOWE) in Thailand, and also travelled various cities in Asia with the prestigious Asian Youth Orchestra, performing the famous saxophone solo in Ravel’s Bolero.
An active member of The Philharmonic Winds since 2005, Yi Xiang has also appeared as a soloist with various bands. In addition to his duties with the SAF Central Band, he is a member of the Xin Saxophone Quartet and also teaches Saxophone in various schools, in hopes of bringing music to the masses.
